Each fine art print is handled as an individual artwork. We work with trusted print partners and pack every order by hand to ensure that your photograph arrives safely and ready to frame.
Smaller and medium-sized unframed prints are typically shipped in sturdy protective tubes with multiple layers of acid-free tissue and archival interleaving. Larger or more delicate pieces may be shipped flat between rigid boards to avoid any bending.
All materials in direct contact with the print are archival-safe and free from PVC. Corners, edges and surfaces are carefully protected, and external packaging is reinforced to withstand international transport.
We ship fine art prints from Switzerland using reputable carriers such as Swiss Post and international courier services. Each order is individually checked before dispatch.
Once your order is confirmed, please allow 5–7 business days for printing and quality control. As soon as your parcel leaves our studio or print lab, we will send you a confirmation email with the carrier and tracking information.
Typical transit times are outlined below. These are indicative only and may vary due to local conditions, customs, or peak seasons.

Shipping costs are calculated transparently at checkout based on your delivery address, the size of the print, and the selected service level. For most destinations we offer a standard tracked service and, where available, an express option.
When you order several prints together, they are combined into as few parcels as possible to optimise both safety and total shipping cost. Oversized or very fragile works may require individual packaging and therefore separate shipping charges.
Any applicable promotions or free-shipping thresholds will be clearly indicated in the shop and applied automatically during checkout.
Key points
- Shipping shown clearly at checkout before payment
- Tracked services used whenever possible
- Combined packaging for multiple prints where safe
- Oversized works may incur higher shipping fees
All shipments include a tracking number whenever the service allows it. You will receive this information by email so you can follow your parcel as it travels to you.
Fine art prints are shipped with insurance coverage against loss or major transport damage. In the unlikely event that your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please ask the courier to record it on delivery, photograph the outer box and the damaged contents, and contact us within 5 calendar days.
For any concerns about a missing, delayed, or damaged shipment, please write to shop@africa-photography.ch with your order number, photos (if applicable), and a short description. We will coordinate directly with the carrier and keep you informed.
International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, and handling fees charged by your local authorities or the carrier. These charges are not included in our prices and, where applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
We declare the value of each print accurately and describe the contents as fine art photography prints. We cannot influence local tax policies or speed up customs clearance once the parcel has arrived in your country.
If you are unsure about potential import costs, we recommend checking with your local customs office before placing an order. For collectors outside Europe, please also allow a little extra time for customs processing within the overall delivery estimate.
